We are truly delighted to welcome the community of same-name individuals named Kovács Balázs from Hungary to the International Same Name Association (ISNA).

In March of this year, we received an email from Dr. Kovács Balázs of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, Institute of Design and Media Arts at the University of Pécs:

“I’m going to organize a conference consisting only with scholars, artists, and professionals with the name Balázs Kovács and its variants (jr, dr etc).
It’s planned to be held on November 8–9, 2025, in Pécs, Hungary.
We’ll be around 20 presenters – not too much, but it’s a conference with and organized by same-name people.”

The lineup of the conference was published in May, and while some events remain surprises or will be announced later, the overall program is now available online. An English summary of the conference can be found here:
